Doha, Qatar – Hassad Food, the state’s investment arm in the food and agriculture sector, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AFG College in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in vocational training, scientific research, and academic initiatives. The signing ceremony took place at Hassad Food’s pavilion during the 12th edition of the Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition, “AgriteQ.”
In the presence of Hassad Food’s CEO, Eng. Ali Hilal Al-Kuwari, the MoU was signed by Mr. Khalifa Abdullah Al-Kuwari, Director of Shared Services at Hassad Food, and Professor Brian Buckley, Principal of the University of Aberdeen. This partnership reflects the commitment of both parties to fostering collaboration between the academic and investment sectors while supporting the development of future talent in Qatar.
The agreement aims to establish a strategic partnership, leveraging the resources and expertise of both entities to facilitate knowledge exchange, conduct joint research, and develop innovative solutions in the fields of agriculture, sustainability, and food security.
On this occasion, Eng. Ali Hilal Al-Kuwari, CEO of Hassad Food, stated:
