The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Agricultural Affairs Department, in collaboration with Hassad Food Company, announced the opening of the “Honey Exhibition” tomorrow, as part of the Umm Salal Winter Festival. The exhibition will run from Thursday, January 9, to Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Umm Salal Central Market.
The exhibition aims to highlight the remarkable quality of local honey products and to support national farms specializing in beekeeping and high-quality honey production. It also serves as an important platform for farmers to market their products while raising public awareness about honey’s significance as a natural and healthy resource.
Visitors will have the chance to explore a wide variety of Qatari honey, enjoy tastings, and learn about modern beekeeping techniques and innovations. The exhibition highlights the commitment to sustainable agriculture by supporting local farms that contribute to the growth of the local agricultural sector.
On this occasion, Mr. Youssef Khalid Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, stated: “The Honey Exhibition is a vital step in supporting local farmers and celebrating the quality of their products. Through this exhibition, we aim to encourage investment in beekeeping and increase local production, contributing to economic growth and achieving self-sufficiency”.
Mr. Mohamed Ghanim Al-Kubaisi, General Manager of Aswaq for Food Facilities Management Company, commented: “We are delighted to provide a premium marketing platform to support local farms, through the Honey Exhibition as part of the Umm Salal Winter Festival, at Umm Salal Central Market.
