Hassad invested in the local produce production sector through the Arab Qatari Agricultural Production Company, QATFA – which owns the largest vegetable farm in Qatar (200 hectares), located in Al Shahaniya. QATFA annually produces around 7,000 tons of fresh vegetables (28 varieties), and markets all of its production locally.

QATFA uses several farming methods; open fields, soilless planting, cooled and non-cooled greenhouses, as well as high-tech glasshouses.

Moreover, the company supplies the local Qatari market with greenhouses & related materials, fertilizers, agricultural equipment, agricultural raw materials, irrigation networks & water tanks, seasonal plants, as well as indoor & outdoor plants, in addition to providing full agricultural consultancy services to local farmers.
