Hassad supports the local market demand with a second batch of Australian sheep

Doha- Qatar: Hassad Australia, a subsidiary of Hassad Food, Qatar's premier investor in food and agri-business sectors, has recently announced that it will supply the local market with a larger batch of Australian chilled carcasses (according to the Islamic Sharia) through Widam Food.

This fruitful collaboration follows the supply of chilled carcasses by Hassad Australia over the holy month of Ramadan.

Hassad Australia plays a vital role is realizing the vision of Hassad Food to become a global provider of high quality food products. The supply of the same quality and almost double the amount of the last batch represents 50% of sheep carcasses that Widam will distribute to the local market over the next six months.

In line with Hassad Food's strategy of investing in global markets to secure high quality food resources for the state of Qatar, H.E Nasser Mohamed Al Hajri, Chairman of Hassad Australia and Chairman and Managing Director of Hassad Food, said:

"Following our successful cooperation with Widam Food during the holy month of Ramadan, Hassad Australia will now supply a second and bigger batch (almost double the amount of the last batch) from Australian sheep to the local market, to support and meet the ongoing market demand".

"We are privileged to provide the second batch of Australian livestock with the same high quality of our first batch and according to the specifications set by Widam Food". Al Hajri added​

Currently, Hassad Australia owns and operates 300,000 hectares of land that supports 250,000 sheep and produces 130,000 tons of grains on yearly basis.
