| Hassad Food Lauches $68.5M Poultry Project |
Hassad Food has engaged Oman’s A’Saffa Poultry to develop a $68.5 million poultry project to secure food supplies in Qatar. The farm will begin operation in about 24-30 months time and will cover about 22 percent of Qatar’s poultry needs. |
Once completed the three farms spread over 45 sq km at the southern end of Qatar will produce up to 17 million broiler chicken and 90 million table eggs annually. Hassad Food and A’Saffa signed a deal between the two companies, whereby A’Saffa would be the project’s consultant.
This poultry project is part of Hassad Food’s plan to develop the agricultural sector in Qatar.
